Housing, Local Development
"The growing demand for affordable houses, for a real middle class, clearly shows the urgency to respond to this range of population in order to ensure social cohesion and the sustained promotion of a plural city.
That's why Lisbon City Council created the Program Affordable Rent.
This challenge that promises to change the city, is also an opportunity for the private sector, promoting affordable housing and helping to boost the rental market, elementary for a balanced development of the city.
This public initiative program calls the private sector in order to build this model of sustainable city, contributing to the effectiveness of the Right to Housing."
